Matt Ehlers
|
| Matt Ehlers is assistant director of bands/Percussion Director at McCallum High School Fine Arts Academy in Austin, TX. Originally from Seward, Nebraska, he received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from the University of North Texas in 2006, were he studied percussion under Mark Ford, Christopher Deane, Paul Rennick, and Ed Smith. While attending North Texas Ehlers was a member of their marching band drumline as well as the 14 time PASIC world champion indoor drumline. He was also very involved in Drum Corps International performing with the 2001 Colts and the2002/2003 Carolina Crown Drum Corps. As assistant director of bands, Ehlers conducts the Symphonic Band, beginner, intermediate, and advanced steel pan classes, high school percussion ensembles, and co-directs the JV full orchestra. Ensembles under Matt have earned Superior ratings at the University Interscholastic League Concert and Sightreading Contest in addition to Superior ratings at the U.I.L. Solo and Ensemble Contest. The Advanced steel band also had the honor of being selected to perform at the 2007 Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. Matt is an active performer around the greater Austin area, having appeared with the InsideOut Steel Band, Austin Symphonic Band, Georgetown’s Palace Theater musicals, The Black Squeeze cover band, and various other performances. In 2009 Matt performed with both the Invaders and the 2009 Panorama champions Silver Stars steel orchestras from Port of Spain, Trinidad for their annual Panorama competition. Ehlers is an active clinician during the summer working at several marching percussion camps, as well as co-coordinating two annual youth steel band camps in Austin. |

Roberto L. Treviño

| Roberto L. Treviño has been part of the Music Industry for over tweny-five years. He now heads a Latin Global team that works at an international level representing Gibson Guitars. Working with bands such as Shakira, Mark Antony, Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin, and many others. As the Latin Director of Entertainment Relations, Roberto believes in a high touch vs. high tech and has a constant rapport with all the artist on The Gibson Latin Roster. Roberto attributes his success in the Entertaiment Industry to his Diverse culture and love for Music. |

Craig “Crash” Chambers

| Craig hosts the morning drive show and the popular 20 Minute Trivia feature on KZEP 104.5. Craig grew up on the Texas-New Mexico border and his radio career has taken him on a journey across the US. Craig has been heard in Philadelphia, Houston, Virginia Beach, Memphis and now San Antonio. |

Mary E. Cantú
|
Mary E. Cantú has been a part of the arts community in San Antonio for 10 years. She is Project Director of Step Up for Arts Education. Step Up is an advocacy organization that promotes the Arts as essential to human development and advances opportunities for equal access to superior art education for all in the San Antonio Community. She received her MA from the UT-Austin in Art Education and BA from Mount Holyoke College in Anthropology and Education. Cantú’s teaching expertise includes working with children and adults with special learning and developmental abilities; young artists with autism; gifted and talented youth; and young people who have been abused or neglected. Her academic research focuses on current trends in community-based art education; interdisciplinary and post-modern curriculum development; specialized curricula for children with special needs; and the analysis of print media to reveal their perceptions of arts education.
Cantú is originally from San Antonio. She graduated from Brackenridge High School and was a member of the school band drum line (bass player). |

Alfredo Lomelí

| Alfredo Lomelí was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. After moving to Texas with his family at the age of 8 years old, he quickly found his love for the entertainment industry. At the age of 13 he started acting in commercials for companies such as Via Transit System, Diamond Shamrock, and the Texas Youth Runaway Hotline. In 2008 Alfredo was selected from thousands of hopefuls to participate in the final international season of the singing competition Objetivo Fama 5. Following the show’s success, Alfredo has gone on to star in countless commercials and product integrations for campaigns such as Kodak, Garnier, Pepsi, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He as followed his passion for acting by starring in numerous short films and in 2010 he made his feature film debut with a supporting role in Cineveliz’s ‘Cartoneo y Nopalitos’ scheduled for release in the spring of 2011. After many trials and tribulations, Alfredo finds himself the host and producer of the three-time Emmy winning Univision magazine-show ‘Tu Estilo’. His charisma,personal skills and range make him an ideal host for serious events as well as entertainment-geared spots. At 25 years old, Alfredo is an all around entertainer. |
